Massage - The Process

The therapist arrives for your appointment with massage table, fresh towels and all the necessary equipment. Be sure to have a room ready which is big enough for the table and room for the therapist to move around. We will also need access to water. The room should be at a constant comfortable temperature so you do not feel cold throughout  your massage and the therapist doesn’t overheat NB the best massage comes from the most ambient conditions. The therapist will ask if you would like candles burning and some soft atmospheric music to relax you or you can enjoy your own music.  This is your time and you're the boss.

The therapist then asks you to fill out a client form while they set up their equipment.

Once ready they ask about medical history and allergies you may have. You are then asked to get changed and lie face down onto the massage table placing a towel over your body (NB this time is included in your total massage time and is a legal requirement).

The therapist starts by warming your back with aromatherapy oils of your choice and then moves to your arms, head, back of legs, feet and then you are asked to turn over so the therapist can massage the fronts of legs arms and scalp. Each treatment is designed and tailored to each individuals needs, so certain areas may be avoided or certain parts of the body may be worked on more.

Massage in combination with beauty treatments is the same routine as above, but your treatments are incorporated in and around your massage experience.
